Bravo School of Art Offers 1-day workshops in art for adults and children to explore their creativity in a safe, supportive and fun environment, and are perfect for busy people to get creative without the long-term commitment of time and money.

San Diego Museum of Art Children’s Workshops: (Tour+project)
Elementary school students (recommended for grades 3 through 6) can practice the second standard of the California State Framework for the Visual Arts: Creative Expression with the children’s workshops offered by SDMA. The two-hour workshops include an introduction to the topic, a guided interactive gallery tour, and a hands-on art project in the Museum.

AIGA San Diego Link, Youth Art and Design Program LINK programming combines art and design lectures, workshops and cultural events for local San Diego youth between the ages of 14-17.

Art Classes at the San Diego Art Department This summer, SDAD presents five week-long art workshops where kids can discover and imagine new ways to try their ideas with art.

The Rare Hare Studio The Rare Hare Studio offers art classes for children in preschool through eighth grade.
A unique feature of the studio is Rare Hare FAIR (Fostering Artistic Ingenuity with Recycling) in which classes include reclaimed or recycled items as a major theme in the project.

Recreational Music Center The mission of Recreational Music Center (RMC), located in San Diego, is to cultivate the joy of making music through relevant and creative teaching methods. Utilizing an engaging educational approach combined with innovative technology creates a personalized experience in both group and individual settings.

Music Memory Music Memory is an extraordinary FREE music education program for grades 3, 4, 5 and 6, administered by the Orchestra Nova San Diego, under the leadership of artistic director, Jung-Ho Pak. It teaches children how to listen and respond to music critically and intelligently.

Coronado Museum of History & Art Educational Programs Children's Art Workshop Series-Led by Coronado artists Sarah Vogel and Renee Brennan, hundreds of children have participated in these free hands-on workshops.
County grants have underwritten the development of curriculum for grades K-12 based on California State Protocol, and incorporated such disciplines as geometry, biology, and architecture in the study of Coronado's history.

The Art of You The Art of You offers unique, very low skill art workshops that focus on exploration, not art skill. In other words, no art experience necessary, since it's not really about the art! It IS about creativity, self discovery, engaging your senses and your imagination, giving yourself permission to play and be, and letting yourself experience freedom.

Paint Dancing Paint Dancing is a new venue created solely for the purpose of openly expressing yourself for fun in 2 different mediums - AT ONCE! That's Right! PAINTING and DANCING (at the same time) in private art studios around the San Diego area while helping support your local food banks.

Villa Musica Villa Musica's intensive weekend workshops give intermediate to advanced musicians an opportunity to improve their skills or learn new repertoire in a small group setting with some of the best instructors San Diego has to offer. Workshops usually focus on a particular skill set, time period, genre, or composer and run Friday evening through Sunday afternoon. Some workshops begin with a public lecture on the subject matter Friday evening, and others end with a public performance Sunday afternoon.

The New Children’s Museum Providing sustained, educational experiences in a classroom environment is central to the Museum’s mission. The Arts Education Center offers ongoing weekly classes for families, after-school programs, summer camps, school visits, a School-in-Residence program, parenting seminars, and more.

Art Academy of San Diego Since opening its doors in 1998, the Art Academy of San Diego’s mission has been to provide education and opportunity to the artist in all of us. We offer classes in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, jewelry, stained glass, graffiti and mosaic, and numerouse techniques within each of these disciplines. Clay Associates Clay Associates is a ceramics studio that provides space for artists to work and classes for students wanting to be initiated into the world/experience of clay. The studio also tries to reach out to the larger community, undertaking projects from time to time to involve as many people, including children, as possible.

San Diego Center for Children The magic and power of music is changing the lives of children at the San Diego Center for Children. Our Performing Arts Program is restoring trust and hope in children who have suffered abuse, trauma, or have severe developmental behavioral problems. Through music, our children are coping with their pain and aggressions.

Eveoke Dance Theater Eveoke's dance artists teach over 25 classes each week in Eveoke's 2,000 sq. ft. studio located on University Avenue in North Park. Our staff also teaches more than 45 classes weekly in schools and community centers throughout San Diego, reaching over 3,000 students. Eveoke builds lasting partnerships with these neighborhood branches of our education program. Eveoke is committed to providing our region with excellent performing artists and nurturing the future of dance theatre in our local community.

Jen Isaacs San Diego Dance Theater Founded in 1972 as a 501(c)3 professional company, the San Diego Dance Theater (SDDT) has for 35 years enriched the cultural life of San Diego through countless dance concerts and training for young dancers. Jean Isaacs was appointed Artistic Director in 1997 and under her direction, SDDT has earned its reputation as a company of fully-professional dancers committed to unconventional and deeply courageous programming which expands access to the stage for dancers of many nationalities, races, ages, and physical abilities. We are best known for our cross-border projects, our site-specific Trolley Dances, our summer dance workshops, and for the sheer beauty of our dancers.
